2015 All-State Intermediate Orchestra
Schedule and Attendance Requirements
The 2015 All-State Intermediate String Orchestra schedule is as follows:
Saturday, April 18, 2015, 12:30-5:30 PM (Music distribution) at:
New Jersey Youth Symphony Headquarters, 570 Central Avenue, New Providence, NJ
Saturday, April 25, 2015, 12:30-5:30 PM (Reseating Auditions and Sectionals) at:
Haddonfield Memorial HS, 401 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield, NJ 08803
Saturday, May 2, 2015, 12:30-5:30 PM (Group photo session) at:
Churchill Junior High School, 18 Norton Road, East Brunswick, NJ
Come dressed in concert outfit for group photo,
bring street clothes to change into after photo.
Saturday, May 9, 2015, 10:30 AM-4:00 PM*** (dress rehearsal and concert) at

***Students may not leave the building in between the rehearsal and the concert***

MANDATORY CONCERT ATTIRE - WHITE/BLACK (no exceptions)
Girls - Ankle-length black pants or skirt, long or short-sleeved white blouse.
Boys – Long black pants, white dress shirt, long tie, black/dark jacket (suit or tuxedo acceptable).
All – Black shoes (no sneakers) and black socks/stockings.
For emergency use only, ON THE DAYS OF REHEARSALS AND THE CONCERT, you can contact Mr. Kallimanis, Orchestra Audition Chair, at 201-370-0423.
Please use this for emergencies ONLY prior to rehearsals.
A. Students are required to attend all rehearsals and concerts as outlined by the NJMEA calendar and application. In the event that the requirements cannot be met, students must notify the Orchestra Audition Chair immediately. Failure to comply with this regulation will result in the student’s dismissal from the ensemble. One absence is permitted for up to one half of one rehearsal for any reason, provided you contact the orchestra manager prior to the rehearsal. Full attendance is mandatory at the concert day rehearsal and the concert during the times indicated and no absence for any reason will be permitted. Any absence on the concert day will result in immediate dismissal from the group.
B. Failure to fulfill any of these obligations will result in disqualification from any All-State Performing organization for the period of one year, up to and including the applicable event.
C. In order for students to perform in the All-State Intermediate Orchestra, they must fulfill their performance obligation to all NJMEA ensembles, including Region ensembles and remain an active member of their school orchestra.
